Loving My Pain Free Life

My name is Melinda Johnson and I suffered with foot pain for many years. I went to see a podiatrist and after an examination, I was told that I had heel spur syndrome. I followed the recommendations of my doctor by doing at home treatments along with physical therapy. I was amazed at how much these treatments helped my foot pain. Living with pain can have a big impact on your life and that's why I started this blog. My foot pain kept me from doing many things that I enjoy and I want to help others who are going through the same situation. As you browse through my blog, you'll learn about home treatments, medical procedures and new advancements in medicine that can help reduce pain. It is my hope that by writing this blog, you can live pain free too.

3 Pieces Of Fitness Equipment That Make Working Out At Home More Effective

Claire Roberts

If you like the idea of working out at home, then you can definitely make it successful. While home workouts without any equipment are possible, there are certain tools that make it much easier to exercise. This article will discuss three pieces of fitness equipment that can help make your at-home workouts more effective, and will explain to you various different exercises that can be performed with this equipment.

Treadmill

The treadmill is wonderful to have in your home because it is perfect for cardio workouts. You can use it for walking and/or running, depending on what your current fitness level is. This is great because you can either watch television or listen to music while you are working out. Most treadmills can also be folded up when they aren't being used, so they won't take up a whole lot of space in your home. Treadmills can also be used at all times during the year, so you can run on them when it is either too hot or too cold to run outside. Treadmills have even been used to train for marathons and half marathons, so you shouldn't feel limited if you don't have a gym pass or the ability to run outside. You can increase the incline to mimic hills, and set your speed so that you keep a steady pace during your entire run.

Free Weights

Free weights are excellent to have at home because they allow you to do strength training exercises. Be sure to get 8, 10, 20, 30 etc. pound free weights so that they are going to challenge you for different workouts. For example, you will likely want lighter weights when doing an overhead press, and heavier weights when doing squats. For convenience, you can get a weight rack that will carefully hold all of your weights in the correct order. This makes organizing all of your weights easier, and keeps them from getting lost

Resistance Bands

Resistance bands are another excellent piece of equipment to purchase for your home because they can be used for so many different kinds of workouts. The resistance bands can be used to strengthen both your upper and lower body, depending on what exercises you are doing with them. They are also incredibly easy to transport, so taking them with you on vacation, to work, etc., will be very easy for you. They are also small enough that storing them is very convenient, especially if you live in a small apartment.

By visiting to any fitness equipment store, you can find even more ideas for an excellent at-home workout.
